If I could use just one word to describe this book, it would be...POWERFUL!

I loved this book.  From the epilogue to the prologue I was hooked.  I couldn't put it down.  It's full of passion and betrayal and unconditional love.  There are parts of the book that are very hard to read, making me sick with the horror of what was happening, and there were chapters where I just wanted to slap Angel and scream at her..."Open your eyes!".  But then I'd remember that 8 year old girl and what she'd suffered and my heart broke for her.  There were times when I was on the edge of my seat anticipating the break through Michael was so lovingly urging her toward, and there were times of beauty and laughter.

But I think the main thing I took away from this book is...To love anyone the way you should, the way they deserve to be loved--your husband, your child, your mother, father, sister, brother, friends--you have to love God above all else.

I think anyone who enjoys a good story will enjoy this book, but if you love romance novels, Redeeming Love is must read!

My latest order from amazon.com came in the mail today.

The first one is The Slippery Art of Book Reviewing by Anne K. Edwards.  I purchased this book for fairly obvious reasons.  I do a book blog and would like to learn how to do a proper book review.

The second book is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.  I purchased this book because it's been on my "to be read" list for a long time.  I'm also participating in a reading challenge that will focus on the romance genre during the month of February.  I've read several books by Rivers and, I've never been disappointed.  So I'm anticipating loving this one.

Do You Read Christian Fiction?

When I worked at the library a couple years ago, I had never read much Christian fiction.  I didn't even realize it was such a huge genre.  When I came across these books I was intrigued and immediately checked them out.  Even though they were in the fiction section, they are based on the TRUE stories and real women found in the Bible.  Rivers starts each book with the scripture that the book is based on and ends with study questions.  I LOVED these books!

These books are about 5 women who were chosen by God to serve a special purpose, and to play a major role in the lineage of Christ.  They are known as the Lineage of Grace series.  I checked them out individually.
