Flea Market Day And You Know I Bought Books

Today was flea market day where I live, so my sister and I took the kids.  We went for breakfast and made it to the flea market around 7:45am.  I found two books and Sophia found a little glass black cat.  She loves glass trinkets, and her room is full of all her finds.

I really don't know anything about the two books below.  I saw them and thought they looked interesting.  I paid $1 for each of them.  If you have read these books, leave a comment and let me know what you thought.

After the flea market we went to the Goodwill store.  Sophia had really good luck there.  She found 9 books that she wanted for $.50 each.  She was very happy!

I have this one, but she wanted a copy of her own.

This one says it's adapted for young readers.

My sister read R.L. Stine when she was little.

After Goodwill, even though it was early we went for ice cream.  Later Sophia went swimming with a friend and Beth and I watched the movie "Jane Eyre".  I missed this one in theaters, so I was excited to see it available to rent on Dish.

This was a great movie!  There was a lot missing from the book of course, but it was really good anyway.  It was visually beautiful, and I felt it told the story well.  Beth and I both loved it.

After the movie Beth left, and I watched the movie again while I cleaned up my computer.  Now Sophia is home and I'm working on my blog waiting for my husband to get home.

I'm still reading Teeth of the Tiger by Tom Clancy.  It's taking me forever, but I will finish it.

  1. I tried to read the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, I think. Isn't it about a Woman in Africa who starts a detective agency? I didn't get through it. But if you enjoy it, I'll try again...
